Ohh My Dog (2026) First Day Review

Watched Ohh My Dog with my family today and honestly wasn't expecting to tear up over a dog movie but here we are 😭 Pankaj Tripathi is effortless as always, doesn't even need much screen time to leave an impact. The two dogs (Oscar & Bruno) genuinely steal the show though, their expressions did more acting than half the industry lol. Only complaint - movie drags a bit in the middle, could've easily trimmed 15-20 mins. Still, a good one-time watch with family. 3.5/5 from me.

Not gonna lie, went in expecting a cute simple dog movie and got hit with a kidney trafficking subplot lol. Wasn't ready for that mix honestly. The Assam/Bihar setting is shot beautifully, cinematography is really the MVP here. Maahi Rai as the kid is surprisingly good for a newcomer, didn't feel forced at all. Story is predictable if you've seen any "boy searches for lost pet" movie before but it still works because of how sincere it feels. Not a masterpiece but doesn't pretend to be one either. Worth a watch on a weekend.

Took my kids to watch this and they loved it, that's really all that matters at the end of the day right? 😄 Pankaj sir brings his usual calm charm, nothing new from him but that's exactly why we love him. The pacing did test my patience a little in parts, felt like the film wasn't sure if it wanted to be a thriller or a family drama. But the emotional payoff toward the end genuinely got to me. Bring tissues if you're a dog person. 4/5, recommend for family outings not for hardcore action fans.
