Editorial Policy & Standards

This policy explains how CinemX produces its journalism — our commitment to original, accurate and independent reporting.

Editorial independence

CinemX is editorially independent. Our news, reviews and ratings are not influenced by film studios, distributors, advertisers or any commercial relationship. Promotional or sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly labelled as such.

Original reporting & sourcing

All news, reviews and articles on CinemX are original works written by our own reporters and editorial contributors. We do not aggregate, scrape or republish third-party articles. Where a report draws on another source, that source is named and, where appropriate, linked.

Accuracy & fact-checking

We verify information before publishing and aim to represent facts fairly and in context. Box office figures are compiled from credible industry sources and are presented as reported estimates, which can be revised as final numbers come in.

Corrections & updates

We correct errors promptly and transparently. If you spot a mistake, email anilec4870@gmail.com and we will review it. Substantive corrections to published articles are noted on the article.

Authorship & bylines

Every article carries a named author. Each reporter has a public profile page listing their published work, so readers can see who wrote a piece and what else they have covered.

Use of AI

Our editorial content — news, reviews and articles — is written by people, not generative AI. AI assistance is limited to clearly-labelled, non-editorial features such as the CineQuiz daily trivia. We do not publish AI-generated news or reviews.

Ownership & funding

CinemX is founded and independently operated by Anil Kumar. We are funded through advertising and optional reader subscriptions. Our funding sources do not influence what we cover or the conclusions we reach.
