Honestly, I enjoyed this more than I expected. The combination of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg works really well, especially because their characters are complete opposites. The 1960s Mississippi setting gives the movie some real weight, and there are a few genuinely intense moments. It does get a little predictable toward the end, but the performances kept me interested. Not a masterpiece, but definitely worth watching if you like crime thrillers with a historical angle.

The movie has a really interesting premise, but I don't think it fully lives up to it. The performances are probably the strongest part, especially Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and the atmosphere of 1960s Mississippi is very well done. My problem was the pacing and the fact that some parts felt too familiar. The movie wants to say something serious about justice, racism and violence, but sometimes it feels like the action takes over the message. Still, it's a solid watch with some great performances.
