Bhai I was literally a kid when the first Awarapan released and I still remember crying to "Toh Phir Aao" on a loop. Watched the sequel today and Emraan Hashmi walked back into Shivam's shoes like he never left. The soul of this franchise is fully intact. Music slaps, emotions hit different. 4.5/5, nostalgia won today.

gonna be the unpopular opinion here but this is fine, not great. story beats are exactly what you'd expect if you've seen literally any vishesh films movie ever, nothing shocking happens. that said the bgm and cinematography are genuinely doing heavy lifting, some shots are gorgeous. emraan carries scenes just on vibes honestly, dude has range

went for disha stayed for everyone lowkey. she's better than people are giving her credit for, and the climax genuinely got dark, like properly heavy, i was not ready. bring tissues not popcorn for this one fr. music slaps too, been on loop since i left the theatre

theatre was WHISTLING every single time shivam showed up on screen omg. mass energy from start to end, screenplay moves fast, no dead stretches at all. this is exactly the kind of sequel energy fans wanted, people were literally clapping during the climax. loved it

caught this in london with a mostly desi crowd and reactions were intense ngl. way darker and more violent than the trailers let on, definitely not the casual date night movie some people are expecting walking in blind. but emraan earns every second of screen time he gets. would've rated higher if the second half tightened up a bit but still a solid watch
